Departure around 8:30 from my room... couldn’t get out early. As a result there is waiting at the border with Romania that I cross just at the edge of the city of Silistra.
I wait but when a young German cyclist arrives, exchanges a few words with me, takes out an ID and passes on the side to access the control, I wait a little bit and then I do the same.
The road is quite pleasant, a little more busy as we approach noon.
I stop at a restaurant in Baneasa and when I leave it, the storm threatens. A few drops further on. Then it is very hot again and the road is soaked here, I drive in a suffocating humid atmosphere. Then the real storm shower arrives and while I am equipping myself a lady offers me shelter under the porch !
It doesn’t last long, I leave quickly enough and I arrive at my hosts’ house in Rasova.
