Sordoba - Djizak

11 mai, kilomètres aujourd’hui : 76
Kilomètres depuis le début : 1565

A really cool start to the day, leaving the hotel at 6:30... and the sun is already out but the temperature is pleasant.
We headed for the crossroads at the Kazakhstan border, then headed for Djizak.
This time the trouble is on my side with a pannier that easily jumps out of its holder. After an adjustment, everything’s back in order. Then it was the front mudguard that rubbed against my wheel, again with a few turns of the wrench.
Nevertheless, these stops took some time and the temperature rose.
The road is not very interesting, except for the numerous storks perched on the electricity poles and a view of the irrigation canals that run alongside the road.
A few breaks keep us going until we reach Djizak, where we take small roads. It seems that the maps have not been updated following the construction of certain buildings, and the route is uncertain at first.
On the whole, however, the roads are pleasant. A few kilometers from Djizak, a man beside his car beckons us to stop and after a few words invites us into his restaurant. We’ll have the best meal of our stay so far, with the discovery of Uzbekistan’s national dish, plov.
Djizak is a rich-looking city, much more westernized than the places we’ve been to so far. With large arteries lined with modern buildings.
