Here the heat wave seems to be over, at least in the region where I am. Thursday evening thunderstorms cooled the atmosphere.
Yesterday I visited Salamanca, which would deserve more than a day. Apart from the walks in the streets I will be satisfied with climbing the towers of the Cathedral. Very nice visit, a well organised traffic flow to avoid people jostling each other on the narrow stairs, but today there are not many people 🙂

This morning, I finally head for Tordesillas : it’s a Saturday, the hotels are quite busy, the heat wave here seems to be over and the weather forecast doesn’t seem to indicate any precipitation, so I try to camp, and there aren’t any everywhere...
We leave at 7:30am, but we have to stop immediately to put air in the tyres. I didn’t find a bike garage on my way the day before, so I inflate with my little pump this morning. Of course the last time I used the pump was to help someone who had a big valve, I have to reverse the mechanism ^^
We leave on a small road with at the beginning fields of wheat as far as the eye can see.
The road is announced blocked before Guarrate, I try not to take the deviation and very quickly I arrive in the middle of a crowd. I see riders crossing in front of me, the horses probably coming out of the many carriages carrying horses on the road. The riders are equipped with spears. Then all of a sudden from a truck in the middle of the field a bull is let loose : the riders pull it towards the back of the meadow. For a moment nothing is seen, then the riders bring a herd of cows or bulls towards the spectators. I am told that in the morning it will be this game, and in the afternoon the bulls will be let loose in the village.
I continue my journey. A pleasant and easy road.
The countryside changes and the culture becomes very water consuming, probably corn which grows.
I arrive at the camp-site towards 13h30
