I had planned to stop in Villefranche-de-Rouergue but Carole and Mathieu recommend me to go to Najac instead. It’s only 60 km, a warmshower who is there answers me immediately so go !
Like every day the weather is mixed. Today it’s cloudy in the morning and there are a few showers in the afternoon.
I arrive in Villeneuve (another recommendation of my guides ^^) and indeed the city is very beautiful. A city of stages of the pilgrims of Compostelle completely renovated where the beautiful white stone is highlighted.
Then I went to Villefranche-de-Rouergue : indeed there are some nice things but I quickly went around it...
My route takes me along the Aveyron river, made high and muddy by the rain of the previous days. Then the road climbs and I arrive in the village of Najac : a large square, then a main street that goes down and a steep climb to the castle. I have a drink while waiting for Runo, my host for the day, to finish his work...
