A busy day today: first the train from Lyon to Villefranche-sur-Saône and then 110km to Chalon.
I had planned a stopover in Tournus but what I had read about the campsite since it opened in the spring was very different from what I had read before... Some cyclists I met on the train in Montelimar told me they had camped in Chalon, so I looked it up on the internet and it seemed nice. Indeed, the welcome was quite warm at the Chalon campsite.
On the way I had stopped at noon in a restaurant. I was arriving again on the Saône and getting ready for a picnic when I came across this restaurant. A cheap menu and in the area I trusted in the quality!

I was near Mâcon and there I finally find a superb cycle path to Tournus.
Superb but it wasn’t completely enough to compensate for the cold north wind and especially I had it in front of me. It also got stronger in the afternoon so I almost stopped in Tournus anyway. But since it wasn’t too late, I kept going and I’m very happy about it!
