Kotor - Cavtat, Croatie

24 July 2019, kilometres today: 61
Kilometres since the start: 6009

The morning colours are better for photography, the landscapes less crushed by the heat mist. Some surprising details like these round nets: for fishing or shellfish farming?
I’m going to the ferry that’s going to take me to the other side. Impressive there is no bridge but the 4 boats that make the round trips are full to bursting. They leave the door barely raised and almost as soon as they hit the platform the cars go down.

A closer look at the opening of inland inlets to the Adriatic (it is a submerged ria) is magnificent.

Then I start climbing up to cross the border. 200 meters of climb all the same, fortunately I bought some fruit! The watermelons were a little big ^^^ It is better to be on a bike to cross the border: there are huge queues in both directions... I double everyone and my French identity card is quickly given back to me...

For once I follow the recommendations of my bike route, the main road serves the airport, and I feel good about it: a quiet and pleasant country road.

I arrive in Cavtat very nice little port. I didn’t take pictures of the yachts... there are several pretty pretty ones And even if they don’t look very big they still have a lot of crew.

The blue of the sea here is very deep.
