The day had started well. A short trip of about twenty kilometres to reach my accommodation, which is about twelve kilometres from Dubrovnik, on the Bosnian border. It is necessary to climb to 350 meters but we have a magnificent view of the coast.
I then go to Dubrovnik, a dozen kilometers with a lot of traffic, but it’s fine.
I tie my bike up and start walking. I’m going a little randomly to try to understand what this city is like. I eat pizza in a restaurant and then I go to the new port of Dubrovnik. Then back to the old town. And there I enter the fortress and it is an enchantment. The city inside the wall is large and beautiful. Beautiful white stone buildings. The further you go in the city, the more you discover them. Alleys that keep a little bit of freshness.
At the end of the day I decide to go around the walls. Tourist rate: HRK 200. I think it’s a little expensive, but since I’m here... All the same, I convert it into Euros to see.... 28€ !! There are not many monuments in France that are so expensive!

Finally I want to go back and paf.... my bike has a flat tire (third time it’s happened to me). Except this time I forgot my repair equipment in my apartment... 12 km away. It’s almost 7pm... I’m asking for a bike repairer, people don’t know... And the tourist office finally referred me to a shop that could sell the repair equipment.... I cross the whole city by pushing my bike to the new port and I find a shop that sells equipment. I’m ready to buy it... but they don’t have the key to take the wheel off! In short, I end up tying my bike and crossing the city again in search of a bus I can’t find. So taxi, which after negotiation will take me to the border and my accommodation.
Well tomorrow, I’m taking a bus from Ivanica with all my stuff, fixing my bike and here we go again!
