And a new capital: Bratislava, having left Vienna today.
This morning I left slowly while waiting for the rain to calm down a little... It half worked because she was a little less strong and soon after leaving Vienna she stopped.
It took me a little over an hour to leave Vienna. You have to stop at the traffic lights all the time, watch out for cars and pedestrians.
Once again very nice facilities for bicycles. If in Vienna many roads are damaged and ground signs half erased, this kind of bicycle bridge built next to a motorway bridge is particularly remarkable.
Then passage along the Danube... not long: first chemical industries obviously need access to the river, then works impose a deviation of the cycle path, almost all along the route.
Following my prepared trace I come across a roadblock for work.... Apart from turning back (about two kilometers) the only way out is to climb the muddy slope.... Impossible to mount the bike with the bags so I take them off and of course that’s when the storm rain starts! Fortunately I will soon arrive in Bratislava and I will be able to dry what has been wet and wash my muddy clothes!
