Two years after the initial project... it is once again possible to cross the borders without fear and the Spain-Portugal trip can finally take place. In any case no blockage anticipated today 🙂
Like last year on the small Auvergne loop I start the ride by passing by friends. The real departure will be Monday towards Donostia!

The route has changed a bit. I will now mainly ride along the coast and down to the Algarve. At the beginning I had planned more small stages, I compacted the route a bit, but it also gives me flexibility and if needed I can always cut the stages.
Passage through Santiago de Compostela: I finally got the "Credential del Peregrino" and I will play the game of the pilgrim who gets his credential stamped until Santiago de Compostela.
The return journey will be done by going back up through Extremadura and I will cross again the roads to Santiago.

The journey will be just over 3000 km.

Some organizational changes:

• I finally got the great front rack... But I had little time to adapt to it. Just enough to see that it was not practical at all to put the backpack on it...
• As a result, I don’t have a backpack at all and my two front panniers are quite full...
• Navigation software: everyone was talking about Komoot so I ended up installing it, I’ll see if it’s practical [1].

The stages will also depend on the accommodation. The warmshower network seems less developed than in France. My first stop in Donostia will however be with warmshowers.
