Third Day: Saint-Jean de Losne - Besançon

The day started in a very pleasant way: at the beginning a small fresh wind which had no real impact on the driving and from 10am I was able to remove the wind break for the first time!
After Dôle the wind picked up again and I feared it would be like the previous days. But it didn’t last very long, probably because I wasn’t on the axis.
Taking my time, I arrived around four o’clock.

Second Day: Châlon - Saint-Jean de Losne

A calmer stage today. But as a result I push a little further than the 42km I should have done if I respected the planned stage. Like yesterday’s headwind most of the time. And cold. I have officially arrived on Eurovélo 6 which I have to follow to the Black Sea! In fact, there are quite a few passages that use departmental roads or roads shared with cars for a long time. Villefranche-sur-Saône - Chalon sur Saône

A busy day today: first the train from Lyon to Villefranche-sur-Saône and then 110km to Chalon.
I had planned a stopover in Tournus but what I had read about the campsite since it opened in the spring was very different from what I had read before... Some cyclists I met on the train in Montelimar told me they had camped in Chalon, so I looked it up on the internet and it seemed nice. Indeed, the welcome was quite warm at the Chalon campsite.

Departure from Toulouse on Thursday morning. Bad weather forecast for the coming week....
A stop in Sète where we eat excellent marinated and grilled cuttlefish à la plancha. Outside the restaurant where we entered just in time without having booked it is a storm.
Departure to Lyon always by TER to get a place for the bike. I was worried about trains between Avignon, Montelimar and Lyon to know if I could ride the bike.

Also allow friends to find me. But these dates will change depending on the encounters, difficulties, weather or changing interests to make this or that visit.
